We’re officially down to the Big Brother 15 final five and the Twitterverse couldn’t be less happy.
Basically for the past several weeks, there have been two kinds of Big Brother fans: Team Elissa or Team Amanda. And then in the past week, we saw those merge. Yes, I even saw a Twitter account called “Team Amanda & Elissa.” That, of course happened when Elissa decided to save Amanda in the 11th hour in order to hopefully save her own game. That plan failed and they were both evicted. So that leaves us with McCrae, Judd, Andy, Spencer and GinaMarie.
To say that is an unlikely final five would be an understatement. In fact at the beginning of the summer, I would have picked Spencer, GinaMarie and Andy to be evicted before jury. And now one of them might just win the whole thing.
But which of them, if any, deserve it? I’m going to be very biased and bitter and say no, not really. But since someone has to win, I think the choice is pretty clear. Let me break it down.
Who should win Big Brother 15?
I’m going to rank the remaining houseguests on who deserves to finish in what spot. I’m sure the final ACTUAL rankings won’t happen in this order, but here is how I think the SHOULD happen.
5th Place: GinaMarie. She needs to go out next. As in this week. She’s been so clueless and in the dark the entire game. The only reason she’s won two Head of Household competitions is because she wanted hair dye.
4th Place: Spencer. He has been nothing but a pawn all season. Spoiler alert: he finally won Head of Household, but who cares. He had only four opponents, and we know who those people are. So big deal. His social game wasn’t horrible, but that’s not saying much, either. And if we want to bring personality into it, then he should be in about 14th place.
3rd Place: Judd. I love Judd. And I’ve been Team Judd since about Week 3. But I’m not a blind fan (I know that’s rare in the Big Brother community). So I know that Judd deserves no higher than this. He played a great social game until he won HOH and the MVP twist shifted. Then he became a nervous and messy player and has a horrible time in competitions. I’d still like for Judd to make it to the final two and if he did, I think it would be great, but if I’m being completely honest, I don’t think he deserves any higher than third.
2nd Place: McCrae. He might have been in Amanda’s shadow most of the game, but now that he’s backed up against the wall and on his own, he’s pulling out all the stops. He won HOH in the double eviction and even though he sent home the wrong person, he saved himself. And he did the same thing today by winning the veto. He is automatically in the final four now and can play in the next HOH. So he is in a pretty good position right now. With Andy and Spencer’s final two pact, I don’t really see McCrae getting to final two (unless he wins everything from now on out), but he surely deserves it.
1st Place: Andy. So why do I think Andy should win Big Brother 15? For much of the same reason I agreed with Jun Song’s Big Brother 4 win. It’s floating at it’s finest. And it’s the real definition of floating — not that “lazy no-good-for-anything” non-contestant that some people mistakenly call floater. Andy has shifted with the power in the house and he sat back and let the big targets take each other out. But he didn’t just watch. He took part in it. He delivered information, he broke up private conversations and he voted exactly as he should every time. And even when most fans thought it was time to send Amanda packing Andy knew it wasn’t time (as far as it being good for his game). But once he decided it was time to send her out, he went for it and helped make it happen. She’s done and now he’s guaranteed a final four spot.
So there you have it. Andy should win Big Brother 15. Do I want him to win? Not really. Does he deserve to win? Absolutely.
